ACM 2012 Presentation Community Media Archive - Advanced Archiving (Tues. 3:30pm - 5:00pm) Over the past 3 years, the Community Media Archive hosted by the Internet Archive, has grown to more than 12,000 videos contributed by 23 access centers from around the country. This session will cover the vision and scope of the Community Media Archive, empower participants to get started contributing video to the Archive and cover some intermediate considerations once they have established collections. In addition to archiving, the sessions will cover topics such as using the Internet Archive as a source of non-local programming for your station. Noteworthy updates to the CMA ecosystem (such as availability on the Roku box) since the last ACM national conference will also be covered. Come join us for a stimulating look at how your organization can make effective use of the Internet Archive and contribute to the growing Community Media Archive to support storage and distribution for community access media for current and future generations. Speaker: * John Hauser, Special Projects Manager, Access Humboldt, Eureka, CA
